Recently, RANGOLI competition was organized for our 3rd, 5th, 7th and M.Tech (all CSE) students, by our colleagues and I, in the veranda, Department of C.S.E , S.D.M College of Engineering & Tech, Dharwad.Karnataka.
Thanks to our department, which has permitted and supported me to arrange such events, since last 3 years.
The objectives of such events are manifold. As per my knowledge and understanding, it promotes, (among others):
1) Team Work (team of size 2)
2) Time Management ( 2 hours duration)
3) Space Management ( Rangoli should fit centrally in the 4 squared tiles)
4) Resource Management (1/2 kg rangoli per team and limited colors)
5) Negotiating skills (Some resources/colors what one require might be with some one else)
6) Stress Management
most of which are the PRINCIPLES of our Software Engineering course.
More than that, its our own culture. So, let us feel proud about it.
Here is the pic of the Rangoli which won the 3rd prize. Please note, the team had the participation of many boys.
