Attended Workshop on S/W Testing


Recently I attended a 3 Day workshop on Software Testing using RFT – Rational Functional Tester (a software testing tool by IBM), conducted by the Dept of Computer Science & Engineering, S D M College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad.

Workshop Details:
Resource person - Ajay Shankar WebTekLabs, Delhi.

Days – 08/Oct/ 2010 to 10/Oct/2010.Time – 9:00AM to 6:00 PM.

Venue – CCF Lab -1.

Tool Used: Rational Functonal Tester v8.0

70 students got the benefit, of which 63 studnets were from Final Year Engineering - Computer Science along with 7 M.Tech (PT - QIP) studnets (1st and 3rd Semesters).

About the trainer:
The workshop was made highly interactive and effective by the highly enthusiastic and dynamic, knowledgable resource person.

I personally felt it very interesting, and highly relavant to the demands of the IT industry specifically the testing domain.

Few Highlights of the Workshop:
IBM Rational Functional Tester is an object-oriented, automated testing application that enables us to test Java, HTML, Microsoft® VB.NET, and Microsoft® Windows applications running on Windows/ Linux.


Automatic script generation based on user actions performed in the application-under-test (AUT) .
