Many thanks to the management at GSSS INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR WOMEN for inviting Prof. Ravindra G Dastikop and me to conduct a 2 days hands-on workshop on Blockchain Technology development using JavaScript for V sem and VII sem students of ISE on 25th and 26th October, 2019 at Mysore.
Participants worked on adding MD5 algorithm in Google Spreadsheet using Google AppScript and visualized the Blocks and Blockchain.
Later participants installed NodeJS and used JavaScript to implement Simple Blockchain, Check the Validity of Blockchain, Mining the blocks and Rewards for Mining.
Participants were asked to undergo Free certification on Blockchain Essentials v2 by IBM.
Some of the blockchain project examples were discussed including: Counterfeit medicine detection, Prevent certificate forging in recruitment and sale of car or any digital asset using blockchain and thus appreciate how blockchain could help in preventing fraud in real-time along data security & privacy using Role Based Access Control.
