I attended this, one day workshop on Current Trends and Future Directions in Computer Science, held at Satish Dhawan Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, (IISc), Bangalore, on 2nd July, 2010.
The workshop had 8 sessions of 45 minutes each.Around 150 Faculty Memebrs/Research Scholars, from different parts of the state.
The highlights of the day's session:

2. High Performance Computing - Session by Prof R Govinarajan and Prof Matthew Jacob.
3. Machine Learning - A session by Prof. Shirish Shevade
4. Compiler Architecture & HPC - Research in Heterogenous Multi Core Era - A session by Prof. R Govindarajan.
5. Ph D - Process Part II - Personal,Communication and Environmenatl Aspects - A session by Prof. Jayant Haritsa.
6. Writing Research Papers - A session by Prof. D K Subramaian.
7. Reseach in Systems - A session by Prof. K Gopinath.
