OpenLabs at International Conference on IoT - APS College, Bangalore

We thank Management, Principal, HoD-CSE & Organizers of 2 day International Conference on Internet of Things (IoT), scheduled on 18th and 19th Aug, 2016 at APS College of Engineering, Bangalore for permitting us to setup OpenLabs as a part of this conference.

OpenLabs is a concept which encourages conference participants and APS college students to try their hands from simple LED blink experiment on various micro-controllers (Arduino UNO, Nano, Mega etc) to image processing on RaspberryPi 3 using IBM Watson APIs.

The following components were available for experiments:

• LED blink using Arduino UNO/Nano/Mega etc.
• Working with basic sensors like LDR, LM35, UltraSonic, Soil Moisture, DHT11, Rain Drop, Color Sensor, Current & Voltage and Arduino UNO.
• Working with relay switch, bluetooth module and Arduino UNO.
• Working with GPS, Servo motors and Arduinoc UNO.
• Working with Cloud (ThingSpeak, IBM Bluemix MySQL) using Wifi module (ESP8266 / NodeMCU / Explore Embedded) and Arduino UNO.
• Working with shields like Ethernet, GSM etc with Arduino UNO.
• Working with RaspberryPi ZERO, 2, 3 and basic sensors.
• Working with RaspberryPi 3 and IBM Watson APIs for Face detection, image classification etc

Also the components were available for sale @ venue. 

OpenLabs was setup by students of B.V.B College of Engg & Tech, Hubli, Samar A M [CEO], 5th Sem - CSE,  Adarsh M J [CTO], 5th Sem - ECE, Dinesh Habib, 5th Sem - ECE, Aishwarya Doddaman, 5th Sem - ECE, Sunidhi Kotturshettar, 5th Sem - ECE and &  IoT enthusiasts from S.D.M College of Engg & Tech, Dharwad, Rohit Sundaram, 3rd Sem - CSE, Abhijit G Naik - 5th Sem - CSE, Abhishek Kukanur, 7th Sem - CSE, Vinay Patil [CMO] 5th sem Mech..who are co-founders/members of http://tweaklabsinc.com. We thank the management of BVBCET and SDMCET for permitting & supporting us in this regard.
