Invited - Workshop on IoT and Cloud at VDRIT - 4th & 5th May, 2016

Many thanks to the organizers at VDRIT, Haliyal for inviting us - Dr. S R Biradar, A.P, ISE Dept, SDMCET and myself, as resource persons for this workshop. Participants were from 8th semester CSE and ECE branches. Date:4th and 5th May, 2015 Resource Persons: Dr S R Biradar, ISE Dept and Mayur Patil, CSE Dept, SDMCET, Dharwad Brochure:  tinyurl.com/cloudiot DAY-1 ​The session covered introduction to cloud computing, virtualization, hyper-visors, cloud service delivery models [SaaS, Paas, IaaS, XaaS etc], cloud deployment types among other topics. Demonstration and hands-on sessions included working with Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides, Lucid Charts, Mind-Maps, Google URL shortener, Blogger. Many students made their own blogs. Next in the hands-on sessions students were demonstrated with many cloud and mashup applications - http://mayur-patil.appspot.com.
