Description: Internet of Things (IoT) - which is digitizing the physical world - is gaining enormous attention. In our talk, using a mind-map, we explore 9 different domains where IoT has made an impact. By using Arduino, an affordable micro-controller and other sensors, the surrounding data can be captured and sent to cloud, where various data mining techniques can be applied as per the requirement. IoT supports continuous monitoring of any setting and facilitates automation. From engineering perspective, IoT is an interdisciplinary field, covering computer science, electronics and electrical engineering streams. In this talk, the authors share their experience of handling a course on IoT with Cloud Computing and also list some of the projects developed.
