INAUGURATION OF THE OFFICE OF THE BHARATIYA CHHATRA SANSAD
 STUDENT COUNCIL 3rd May 2013
A momentous and much awaited occasion, the Swearing-in-Ceremony of the 3rd BCS Student Council took place at MIT Campus, Pune organized by the MIT School of Government under the aegis of the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation.

The occasion became a historic one with lot of cheers from the members of the BCS Student Council as the office for the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad was also inaugurated coinciding with the Swearing-in-Ceremony. It was inaugurated by Prof. (Gp. Capt.) D. P. Apte, the Chief Coordinator of BCS with warm compliments from Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder & Executive President, MAEER’s MIT Group of Intuitions, Pune and Prof. Rahul V. Karad, Founder & Convenor, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation.

After the inauguration of the office, the BCS staff and the members of the earlier BCS Student Council attended the swearing-in-ceremony which was held at the new BCS office.Opening remarks were given by Mr. Praveen Nikam, member BCS Student Council, Pune Dist. The welcome speech was given Prof. (Gp. Capt.) D. P. Apte wherein he also shared experiences from the past BCS conclaves, the mission, vision & objective of the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad. He also motivated the students to come forward and actively participate in the Socio-Political affairs as the country needs young motivated & committed bright leaders.

The newly elected members of the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Student Council who came from different states of the country took Oath under the guidance of the Chief Coordinator, BCS to officially become a part of the BCS Student Council.During the ceremony, a few experiences were also shared by members of the earlier Student Council. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Ashwini, member BCS Student Council, Dist. Pune and the ceremony came to a close with the rendition of the National Anthem.

A group photo was taken at the end of the ceremony which was followed by an intriguing interaction of the newly elected members with Prof. Rahul V. Karad, the Founder & Convenor ofthe Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation. During the interaction, he welcomed all the elected members to the BCS Student Council and urged them to actively take part and dedicate their efforts to bring about a change in Politics and Government. He reiterated that if there’s a will there’s a way. Today’s youth is the change and they can contribute immensely in the development of the nation.
